Paradox Poem by Rehnuma Tarannum

Rating: 5.0

I can gaze into your eyes, blend into your soul
forever…..
An eternity is not enough to be with you.

I can take birth thousand times-
To live, relive those pain that wound-
The heart of life and the body of soul.
Or I can take life thousand times-
To end the sufferings of lonely days
To get mixed with the ashes and rise again
Like a Phoenix…..
Just to get a brief moment to live with you.

I was living a life- half felt, half lived
Not a day worth living, or to laugh, or sigh
Or I could die- without any regret.
Every moment felt like a universe!
You ground my life on earth,
And transcend my soul to the heaven
like a Pennant…..
My being gets meaning when I be with you.

I have a burning heart to keep you warm,
Got so much an Atlantic to tell you,
Now I can die- without any regret but one-
Life is so short like a grain of sand
Time passes like fleeting glance
So little time is left to hold your hand
To promise…..
That after Earth my love will remain with you.
