There was nothing we could do
But the white washed cottage
Was hidden and out of view

King and Queen of the Pelicans we

I see a lighthouse in the distance
It's surrounded by sea
The seagulls are singing
They're happy to be free

I often worry
Of where my next meal comes from
Of where do I sleep next?
Of what the future holds?

Snow, snow, snow
It's everywhere I go
Seeing nature at her best
Magical moments on request

For the low paid and sick
There is not a magic trick
For the cost of Christmas cheer
Which goes up year after year

Painted art is artificial
As it is not built
Or made to last
On the contrary poetry

Peaceful coexistence?
Leaders of the world must choose
NOT hegemony
They ALL must get rid of arms

I was born and brought up in Liverpool, and I went to Webster Road Primary and Earle Road Secondary Modern school's there, I am married and have 3 grown up children, and 7 grandchildren. My hobbies are writing poetry and creating wonderful artworks.)
