Night And Day

The full moon illuminous with it's touch of mystery always unfolding,
Against the backdrop of the night sky, brimful of stars shining in unity,
The vast void where spirit's dwell in unknown places,
I can't see their joyful faces,
But maybe it's only tortured souls that linger,
Unable to keep up with their haunting paces.

When dawn breaks the birds optimism brings hope to this earth,
With their enthusiastic song, as light shimmers across every land,
Wildness of the sea cast it's great performance,
Of birth and death always about,
Tides of life drawing in and drawing out.

My scarred soul creates a mass of contradictions,
With my inner eye making predictions,
Of future happiness, success and my sense of liberty,
I had lost control a long, long time ago,
Nature performs with warmth and coldness,
That stings my face with the stark reality,
Life is cruel,
Sometimes I can't rely on my intense emotions,
When my heart rules.

I'm always just out of step of having my dreams come true,
As I search and search for beauty within so bold,
Striking my inner sense of wanting more,
Night and day bring's my daily plans and tasks,
Can I face my mortality with my borrowed mask's?

poet George Gordon Byron

It is the hour when from the boughs
The nightingale's high note is heard;
It is the hour -- when lover's vows
Seem sweet in every whisper'd word;
And gentle winds and waters near,
