My Little Black Dot Poem by Neil Stephens

My Little Black Dot

I loved your being today
Though you weren't here in person to play
I soared so high to love your soul
God said yes for my love to show
I then put my head near your tummy
To hear, in my ear, your echo, so yummy
I'd hold you tight, your flying soul
That I'd be flung 'round but cause your love to roll
Your my little black dot, on my soul I keep
When I hold you tight I almost weep
When I was young and knew not of you
Your spot of love I wanted to shoo
I need you now my little black dot
I was sincerely wrong, now i love you a lot.
We were once together then apart were torn
'twas not too many years after we were born
You were ripped away with disregard to our bond
To each other's soul we had grown quite fond
I am unsure why we were taken apart
As we really had a wonderful start
I just remember a very big room
And crying when you were taken too soon
