A Truthful Desire Poem by Neil Stephens

A Truthful Desire

Here is to a beauty I want to know
She stirs my desire and sense to grow
I want all things good when she's around
No short term resolutions are abound

Her gracefulness catches my eyes
My hope is if in her heart my soul lies
Her love announces her to me before I see
Her shape comes round to encapsulate me

I dream of holding her all through the night
On waking, I seek to catch her in the coming light
I need to hold her hand, kiss her cheek, hug her neck so tight
Her love means so much to me, I do anything to make it right

It's strange that others fade when I look to her
My focus is strong and love is pure
Although, I know I don't know her that well
What little that's been shown my soul does dwell

I love you.
