Love Poem by Vivek Haldar

Love

Rating: 5.0

That was not love,
that faintly sweet scent
wafting into
my consciousness.

It's flavour so soft, so
Insubstantial.
Fulfilled by the sweetness
of a glance.

Content to exist
just in secret
Tender, bashful,
undemanding.

No hint of logic,
No reason, or rime
Foolish, trivial
And yet so sublime...

A water-colour painting,
subtly toned,
A child's soap-bubble—
Rainbow hued.

At it's most tangible
Like candy-floss, to
fill me with sweetness, then
melt away.
