Lost Hope? Poem by Charles Burgos

Lost Hope?

Rating: 4.8

When 2 bodies unite,
Finding the other as they lay.
Together as one in the night,
With the start of the day.

Beating hearts in synch,
Eyes start to close.
The brain stops to think,
As something within grows.

Hands caress the skin,
Lips begin to dry.
Their bodies grow tense again,
A tear rolls out the eye.

Beauty in the moments pass,
Is still beauty in the present.
Immortal love will always last,
Makes every moment pleasent.

Never knowing what tomorrow brings,
Only knowing the day is gone.
In the morning, birds will sing,
A beautiful heartfelt song.

Love is magic, and still it grows,
Emotions linger, and some surpass.
Self torment, and pain was all that showed,
But I found beauty in the world at last.

You.
