Message To Amber Poem by Charles Burgos

Message To Amber

I can hear you're words, with every message sent
Reading each one, wanting more, hoping to get another
Even if their bad at times, I know you need to vent
Thinking to myself, these are just messages, but I do love her

We may be distant, miles may separate us even
I can feel you close, and you may even at times feel me
I want to steal you heart, like a crook to the thieving
I'll give you all I am, just a man, hoping my devotion will set you free

I'm flesh, blood, and may sometimes sound stupid
I lose track of my words in the conversation, many times
I look at the moon, thinking of you, it gets me lucid
My heart starts beating, I get warm, it rings like chimes

I want to take away you're pain, and bring you joy
Look into you're eyes, kiss you're hands, hold you
Maybe get goofy, you as well, and not studder like a boy
You are the match, the equal, the right to the left shoe

I do love you, these aren't just words in the mail
Maybe one day you'll believe it, maybe today
I will prove it, it may take some time, I won't fail
The feelings are there, don't let them fade away

Dreams are ambitions, waiting for the chance
Imaginations can be reality, waiting as well
Love can hold, like an emotional Lance
Being alone in life, can make it all hell
