Looking For Love Poem by Joseph Anderson

Looking For Love

Rating: 5.0

More then I could realize,
You, dear one with sparkling eyes
Lifted me amid'st the skies,
Before the fall.

What once was true is true no more,
Since fate came and closed the door
To your heart, now I stand poor
Against the wall.

Must my wounded heart now die
When it needs to soar and fly
Like an eagle, hear my cry-
My heart enthrall.

Could you love me, love me soon
From the morn til fullest moon
And take from me this veil of gloom?
Please hear my call.

When the grief was hot and memories of her love still fresh, you met someone to fill the void and these lines flowed down from your heart so naturally and with such force as a cataract from a mountain peak! Enjoyed!
