In The Valley Poem by Janine Louw

In The Valley

Sometimes to the valley
we go down and we lay
there for learning and for growing
like a tree that never stops
in the valley is where the seeds grow
that's life's pure and simple way

Then sometimes to the mountains
we rise up and we sore
to the highest of God's mountains
there to realise we can't stop
like the eagle to the valley come for food,
for it's prey
then when feeding there has ended, to the mountain tops he lays
in the clouds he takes his pleasure, rise above it in the storm
so do you God's sweetest treasure, just like nature you were born

Seek your answers in the clues, He left there for you
just for peace and to please, when you find you're in the valley.

We need valleys, we need mountains
to grow as balanced human beings
just like nature there is winter and sure enough there is a spring
the sunshine and the rain clouds
all form part of His sway
and although some is harder, the others follow as we pray
sometimes in the valley, sometimes mountains high
sometimes weak and burdened, sometimes strong we fly.
