If you walk in the dark, alone or with someone,
You will see the beauty of Nature
That remained unseen to you so far.
You will hear the unheard songs of Nature
That will enchant you as you hear, and forever.
If you walk in the dark,
You may rediscover a newer self
Whom you didn't have time to see earlier.
You may retrieve some lost memories of pain,
Which, painful though, you love to remember.
If you walk in the dark, the fireflies will appear
And usher you with a cordial ‘guard of honour'.
The crickets will gleefully sing a serenade for you,
From the treetops the nocturnal birds too
Will welcome you with hoots of fervent ardour.

I can relate to this beautiful poem being born in a rural community. I love the natural world. They can create a symphony of sounds especially at nighttime that strikes right through the soul.
