On this day, dear father, we gather with glee,
To celebrate your love and the man you be.
With a heart full of gratitude, we honor your way,
Happy Father's Day, our words cannot convey.
You've been a guiding light through every storm,
Teaching us values, keeping our spirits warm.
Your laughter, your wisdom, forever we'll hold,
A bond so strong, more valuable than gold.
You've taught us to dream and to always aspire,
To face life's challenges with unyielding fire.
Your gentle strength, a beacon in the night,
Through your love, we've learned what's truly right.
In your embrace, we found solace and care,
A rock in our lives, always willing to share.
You've shown us the power of a father's embrace,
With your presence, our hearts find endless grace.
Today and always, we honor your name,
In our hearts, your love forever shall remain.
Happy Father's Day, a tribute to you,
For the joy and love you continually imbue.
Are you speaking of your own father or in general terms to father OR to the alleged Big Boss allegedly in Heaven? Hmm? I thought I'd ask. No need to answer. ;)
I like, in 2nd line, 'the man you be'. I like that and all of your rhymes, and I HAVE heard people use 'be' instead of 'is/are' at times, but it MAY NOT BE 'proper' English. Who cares! ! ? : )
James, I plan to use this poem in my upcoming June 2023 Showcase, found in my list of poems. : ) Bri

This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Last word: IMBUE: 'imbue ĭm-byoo͞′ transitive verb To inspire or influence thoroughly; pervade' This is the 2nd time I think I've run across 'imbue' in a poem this week (not one of mine!) . I've had to look up the definition each time! : )
