Faded Poem by Viola Grey

Faded

Rating: 3.9

How long do we wait?
You - for that perfection painted
with lost heart's roses.
Me - for another small glimpse
of the true you.

Everything rusts, fades with tears
long streaked like watercolours
left in cold rain.
Time captures timeless dreams,
locks rusted memories,
throws the key.

Another wasted fantasy
keeps us carefully stitched together
like wounded, broken dolls.
Once perfect porcelain smiles
faded with time.
