Viola Grey Poems
A New Tattoo
I'll wear you always, etched to my skin mythically rising from the flames where you live to fight
All I have
You are an arrow piercing my heart with glowing joy, rivalled only
Are You Just Another Dream
Have you faded into another day, only to linger with the night where a thousand dancing dreams kiss your brow.
A new day.
I'm lost without a reason to face each day, curtains drawn bring uncertainty as sleeps warm emrace turns cold inside a moon's final farewell.
Searching for answers in my teacup, looking deep into the tarot dealers lines, searching stars, numbers and magical runes, maybe... I should just search your eyes.
A Gentle Tale of Lust
Into the dark, dank cellar I lead you by the hand towards a marble alter laid with crimson sheets,
Savage little naked fool with puny weapons of love fly yourself to another heart before I snap your wings.
Walking alone through lifes rocky path with nothing steady to break my fall.
A visit from the past
There was a time when all I ever wanted was to sink into you, devour your tender mouth,
All I really want....
So.... this is my mind - a light I cannot switch off illuminating with clarity
Another day closer to truth
Don't fear that truth you hide, it escapes your weary clutches as you slumber. Face tomorrow with certainty, it holds secrets of longing yet discovered.
Behind This Wall
Built there to protect...not to repel... but why on earth would I let you behind this wall.
Lingered long upon this dream
Lingered long upon this dream where nothing is as it may seem, word of colours silently scream and truth belongs only to me.
Hands drip, cold, fevered claws cling to neverending visages of tormented rest.
Every ember of the fire
clouds a deeper, darker desire.
Orange glow fades as grey
upon our love another day.
I am but one in our hearts,
together we are torn apart
and nothing lasts another day
when - knees wearied - we replay
our begging words
