Delusions of Grandeur

First page on Poemhunter? !
Made it on the first page
of poemhunter,
is it a blind luck
or way deeper
a serendipity thing?
The day before
have done a rare thing
tried to ease my heart
soul and mind to build a harmony
of me with my surroundings.
Could such way of being
attract or make things
happen?
Who knows?
Would I care?
Would you care?
How would it matter?
First page on Poemhunter?
Should I fall into
Illusion or delusion
of grandeur? !
Lol.

How others perceive us is fine and good, but how we perceive ourselves is subject to humility versus ego. As Valsa said, peoe like your work and that is rewarded and is to be appreciated as an honour. Well done but so good of you to be modest and self deprecating, a strength showing genuine character. Well done with is achievement. (Report) Reply

If many others can come on the first page, why not you Elena? It is no delusion or illusion! You are liked by many! Be happy about it! Enjoyed your poem! (Report) Reply

Congratulations! How did you make it? I mean what was the feat?
Whatever... it's neither illusion, nor delusion of grandeur but perhaps the reality, recognition of the reality. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
