A little girl
to bounce on daddy's knee
Someone to love
and fill a need

Each man knows
his girl has his heart
She takes it with a smile
at the very start

All the things
he'll come to be
Mean nothing to him
if she can't see

Can't see the love
all the sacrifice
The struggles within
to make her life right

Each man drives hard
to give her all he can
Knowing always
another will someday take her hand

His little girl
bouncing on his knee
Is all the comfort
he'll ever need.
