An Optimistic Thought Poem by RAJ NANDY

AN OPTIMISTIC THOUGHT

Is it not commendable, that we humans are
able,
With our advanced modern materialistic
technology,
To create so many things, designed to out-
live us physically? !
Though with the passage of time and history,
Our monumental edifices also get defaced,
eroded and dissolved;
While they remain surrounded by an aura of
mystery!
Yet it is rather regrettable, that despite all our
advances, we are not able,
To out-live a simple polythene bag, which is
not biodegradable!
Such little thoughts within, make me to ponder
and think,
Though some may call it wishful thinking!
It makes me with hope to think, that perhaps
God the Supreme Being,
Has inserted a soul within, all accounted and
tagged,
To out-live all non-biodegradable things, -
like those polythene bags!
