After Death Poem by Konjit Berhane

After Death

Rating: 4.2

Born crying
Die smiling
For it is a change

After the bright light is over
It won’t be so strange
I hope humans could manage
And it won’t be a theatre stage
But a books new first page.

Well done. I gave you a 10 to bring your total up. I love the simplicity.

I love the first stanza and the first two lines of the second stanza, I think the ending is a little awkward, but I enjoyed the simple charm of all of your poems!

'And it won’t be a theatre stage But a books new first page.' In these lines you have given the idea of the state of after death. Well done.

Love this Konjit, To me it says more about life than it does death. If, as I interperate it, that death is something to be welcomed, then I disagree with the sentiment. However, this does not detract from this being an oustanding piece of work, one which will go into my fave list because I will want to return to it again and again. maybe I will see something new in it. Regards, Denis Joe
