Jessica C. Galvan Poems

'Above the shadow is the moon no further then the sun
As I sit under the big willow hoping a Fairy Tale has begun
Giant stars flutter through the sky as graceful as a dove
Hoping the everlasting Elf will find his true love
...

'I hear a tapping at my window
in my walls
and in the air
I hear it every night and day
...

'She has fallen
he tries to pick her back up
she doesn’t want to dance
he takes her body
...

Oh how the winters symphony holds a mocking shiver melody.
Leaving blades of ice on the tips of my eyelashes.
Such a lonely chill when you my dear, are away.
Vanishing all sight of future existence.
...

'Im not afraid
not of you
not of them
rather
...

‘I stare at each wall
Hypnotized by the intriguing
Yet threatening patters
That commit suicide
...

'Look at all
the different colored people
Threatened by
the War of living life
...

'I walked down the path
the long path alone
I was alone
So many thoughts were running through my mind
...

'i go through the day with a smile on my face
so that my pain remains unseen
minute by minute
hour by hour
...

Historical figures consistently persist on walking over my arbutus and rose spotted garden.

They fade in and out of the foregrounds of my newly painted life, dissolving the texture of my walls.

Jessica C. Galvan Biography

All throughout highschool I wrote anything from poetry to short stories to scripts. Instead of doing my homework or classwork I would literally fill every minute with lines of emotional chaos. I created this 5 years ago and wow have I grown! Looking at all the poems I posted back in 06 and 07, I realized how horribly depressed I was. It sort of makes me want to cry because I just thought thats how life would always be. Now I have given my life to God and the passed 3 years have drastically changed. Even if i wanted to write about depressing things, I couldn't. So If i do continue to post anything again, dont expect the old Jess...cuz she no longer exists. :))

Fairy Tale (Age 14)

'Above the shadow is the moon no further then the sun
As I sit under the big willow hoping a Fairy Tale has begun
Giant stars flutter through the sky as graceful as a dove
Hoping the everlasting Elf will find his true love

The wind shoves the Fairy dust around making it a sparkly night
As I fall in love with the Elf and his everlasting life
The sweet falling rain collides on us again
As our lips touch so softly making a Fairy Tale begin

But all the Fairies wonder refusing our desire
Judging every step we take putting out our fire
We will fade from this dark magic this sprinkle in the sky
As we swear upon each other to love until we die

Forgetting the world around me leaving without a trace
I’d do anything to keep the silky motions of your face
The velvet rose brings out the softness in your skin
I want you to hold me forever as we whisper to the wind

Forever is forever with a twinkle in the eye
Hoping the Fairy Tale we made will never ever die
The green leaves and white lilies rush down the falls
We are free from all the thorns and the tall rock walls

Beneath the moon is where the Fairy Tale began
Flying in the air freely hand in hand
Love of silver fire shimmers in our eyes
For the world of free affection is where the Fairy Tale truly lies! '
