A Tormented Soul Poem by Anita Sehgal

A Tormented Soul

Tormented by petty desires,
Base emotions …
Ignoble thoughts run riot,
When did Thy image get polluted -
Cleanse me of all imperfections,

Oh, Lord!
That I may be worthy of Thee,
Full of love for Thee and all Thy creation!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Imperfect you may think yourself to be With a mind (like all) that attracts impurities But as to a mother an errant daughter or son You will always be dear and shining like the sun (Sayeth the good Lord who perhaps readeth this) Good write and keep your pen busy..... One terrific way of calming a fluctuating mind is isha Kriya as expounded by my Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. You can find him on Isha blog or Youtube and his take on the logical and illogical aspects of life is mind blowing.

It is honestly admitted that we humans are slaves to our 'selves', humble confessions made, and an ardent prayer expressed in a few lines quite effectively.

An interesting piece, that left me wanting more - for it ended much too soon. -Joe Breunig Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory

An ardent prayer! Human frailties abound, yet the desire to get filled filled with love towards God and his creation is divine!
