Sound of train passing through
The iron bridge pierces through
The air and hangs over land for
A long time
Sitting on a frond of the mango
Tree a bird gets drunk with the
Fragrance of flowers and sends
A sweet rhyme

A lonely boat crawls slowly on
Placid water of the stream and
Seems like a drawing on white
Canvas of nature
The azure sky is littered with soft
Cotton clouds through which ray
Spills down and dance with crops
In a whisper

Treading on dew drenched path
The village lass hums a song of
Love and chases the butterflies
Towards the river
Cool wind cascades down hills
Dispelling walls of mists and
Passes through foliage making
Leaves to shiver
