John Masaitis Poems

My daughter's team the Sundevils Love Gymnastics
In the gym these girls have no time for cliques
Practice, sweat, and tears is what yields them tricks
When competing in a meet, they all start at six
...

Who touches a boy by the Master's plan,
In shaping the course of the future man,
Is dealing with one who is living seed,
That may be the man whom the world shall need
...

I finally opened up my eyes
The room is empty from all the lies.
No family, no friends it is only me
My needle, my fix, The Life Of A Junkie.
...

Please stop worrying
this Tanka is the first one
there will be mistakes
listen to the good review
...

I hate to see my princess cry.
You are the apple of my eye
Please tell the truth and never lie.
Your Dad does try, your Dad does try.

Are they Toys?
Bonka Zonks
Crazy Cubes
Beyblades
...

God took the strength of a mountain,
And the majesty of a tree,
The warmth of the summer sun,
And the calm of a quiet sea,
...

You lived next door to me for years
We shared our joys our dreams our tears.
A friend to me you were indeed
A friend who helped me in my need.
...

Spiritual warfare their industry
An esoteric society
A new world order their dynasty
Rain Man a King, Illuminati.
...

Death hides from no one
everyone will see his face
who am I to judge
He opens the Book Of Life
...

If our forefathers could see
our great country today,
the tears in their eyes
they forgot how to pray.
...

There we sat three in a crowd
I was not present this time around.
Oh, how pathetic these two are
Craving a fix from the devil's cigar.
...

Flying eyeballs
Favorite vans
Such A young man
Violent plans.
...

They take it all in
Every bit every sin.
They watch how you act
Every shout every grin.

The Demon's cheer
In your ear
Now you hear
Do not fear
...

Getting high all alone an outcast
Destroyed his life craving that blast
His lonely soul he would blame
slowly now squeeze that vein
...

when clouds are floating
it looks like little pictures
flying in the air
...

Mom and dad married had a baby boy
they both suspected there be another
but God had a different plan for me,
he gave me a sister and I will always love her.

John Masaitis Biography

I am a roofer, who writes. I write poetry on things that happened in my life, or things I strongly believe in. Most of the poems have to deal with life and the struggles coming from a recovering addict. I have a beautiful wife and 3 children if it was not for her there would be no me. I am truly blessed and thank God for saving me from myself. I give God all the glory.)

Gymnastics

My daughter's team the Sundevils Love Gymnastics
In the gym these girls have no time for cliques
Practice, sweat, and tears is what yields them tricks
When competing in a meet, they all start at six
Like a child craving candy chalk is their fix
Before the uneven bars they tighten their grips.
For all events they yearn for a landing that sticks!

Balance beam requires much poise and skill
Sometimes the girls stay up, by pure sheer will
A routine must be flawless the coach will instill
Often Screaming, 'Come on ladies you know the drill'
To view a perfect execution is always a thrill.

Vaulting by far is the quickest event.
Girls run, hit the springboard and make their ascent
as coach watches each girl with great extent
remembering hours it took for tricks to invent
Now high points for difficulty as we watch their descent
Sticking it on the landing is always the intent
It's nearly impossible to score a hundred percent

Floor exercise receives the loudest of cheers
often times these girls must conquer their fears
As they tumble to music with a routine to adhere
A mistake or a fall may result in a tear
Thank goodness they're encouraged by their teammates, their peers

Gymnastics is well over two thousand years old
it took time to catch on before judges were sold
Modern men have six events, while women have four
For each sex they are different, but they share vault and floor
1896 was the year gymnastics did unfold
1928 was the year when women enrolled
These girls will not quit going for the gold

The crowd roots for the Sundevils-Screaming for more
they love the thrill of victory and getting medals galore
But there's one more thing these girls truly adore
They will sweat and bleed together
For 'The Ultimate Score'

Hey John, , Did you write What Makes a Dad? 2 others here at PH.com, Brie Carter and Innocent Timbarwa, have their name attached to the poem. What's up with this? Of the 3, I like yours the best, but they are all good. The only difference is a few word alterations, but they are all definitely the same poem. Who wrote it?
