I wish I was a Nubian,
Black silk skin protected by melanin,
Slim body, distinguished facial features,
I wish I was a Nubian.
...

A shadow in the night,
I, they never see,
Do I exist.
Sometimes I wish.
...

Do you have good values,
Do money and success define you,
Are ethics a big deal,
Would you lie and steal.

I, too am your Brother.

I am the lighter brother.
They cast aspersions on my name,

The Black question,
As studied by the Marxist, Communist, Socialist.
If Black men study the question,
Then they must be Black Nationalist.

We have been Bamboozled.

Guantanamo Bay prisoner sings,
'Get Up and Stand up, do not give up the fight.'

Unleash your potential be not afraid of your capabilities.

The greatest fear is fear itself.

This life is but an illusion.
Dispense with everything you have ever been taught.
The world you and I inhabit is nothing but a thought.
Think about it.

They were able to interpret phrases like fetch, sit and attack.
They were domesticated unlike the grey wolf.
They prefer to move amongst us in packs.
No cats allow, Cat! "use the one at the back."

I have no words to describe how I feel.
Maybe a few, I want to hug and kiss you.
I know every curl on your lips.
I love the way you sway your hips.

They are not the same,
They are not one of a kind.

I do not believe,
The Bible is the truth,
Why should I,
Because you said so.

The frequencies are dancing and the clouds are roaring.
The heart begins to pulsate as harmony and balance returns.
Colours and shapes swirling around in my mind.

Out of Africa to chattel slavery,
From the dark Continent, the Black womb.
We are the Gods of Humanity,
Arisen from our tombs.

Proud to be Black again,
That saying was once dead,
Black and proud,
James Brown once said.

In the mist of my emotion,
High rose my feelings,
From the depth of my heart,
My composure fell apart.

British democracy promotes
The interests of the rich,
At the expense of the poor,
A cabinet of millionaires,

I feel free, why are they mad,
Why are they crazy,
No more marching,
No more running,

The Best Poem Of Simon Samuda

Colour Blindness

Race ought not play a role,
In the assessment of an individual.

This commendable thought on racial conduct,
Is considered to be civil.

The historically discriminated,
Agree with these sentiments,

Yet still we take issue.

First, to get too this utopianism,
And get beyond race,
It is paramount,
One takes race into account.

To ignore historic discriminations,
Is tantamount to an admission of racism.

My detractors shout race card, foul.

They contend,

In order to make race irrelevant,
One must make race irrelevant now.

To engage in this poetic discourse,
I desire for you to feel remorse.

It’s about correcting past wrongs,
As oppose to an intellectual intercourse.

Poetry presents things in an order,
To convey feelings in particular,
Moreover to stimulate behaviour.

Stephen Lawrence
Trayvon Benjamin Martin,
Emmett Louis Till.

To stop discrimination on the basis of race,
Is too stop discrimination on the basis of race.
