Lost Love Poem by Simon Samuda

Lost Love

In the mist of my emotion,
High rose my feelings,
From the depth of my heart,
My composure fell apart.

Nervous, nauseous,
Worse than public speaking,
There she was,
The memories I tried to erase.

The love of my life,
Face to face.
“How are you doing? ”.
“Swell can’t you tell”.

Flushed with anxiety,
Her eyes pierced me.
The sorrow in my soul,
She knows, she knows, she knows.
