Bamboozled Poem by Simon Samuda

Bamboozled

We have been Bamboozled.

Guantanamo Bay prisoner sings,
'Get Up and Stand up, do not give up the fight.'

Obama promised to close,
Black president in 2008 that I was proud.

We have been Bamboozled.

Guantanamo prisoners are sexually assaulted,
By the imperialist warlord called Obama a Blackman.

Martin Luther King is rolling in his grave,
Malcolm X is teaching we have been Bamboozled.

In 2008 I was proud.

Guantanamo Bay prisoner on hunger strike are force fed,
This is torture.

Black President may I ask how you can support Al Qaeda,
And want to bomb Syria

If you do not love the people you cannot serve the people,
Cornel West was right.

Insult Evo Morales and Nicolas Maduro,
With your brothers you pick a fight.

2013 I am outraged,
You have a different mind
You are not our kind.

Indeed we have been Bamboozled.
