I step on the prickly grass.
The midday sun emits rays of joy onto my pale, white skin.
There is silence in the hillside as hours and hours pass.
I'm sitting now, looking at the clouds with a butterfly on my chin.

An hourglass without the concept of time.
I wait and wait for your deathly kiss,
I know you'll cut me down in my prime.

The wind rushing through his hair,
The darkness pricking at his every nerve,
The shadows at the corner of his eye,
It's waiting for him to die.

"Follow me, dear child, "
Snapped the words like a 'gater from the Nile.
He follows with innocence in his heart.
Little did he know, the world he knew would soon depart.

The beauty that emitted from you will never be lost,
Although, I want you back beside me no matter what the cost.
No matter how much I cry, no matter how much I am sad,
I know that I had an amazing friend and for that I am so glad.

You stole from me my innocence, my childhood and my name.
I hope one day you will see this and you will understand my pain.
Thank you kind sir, you've made me what I am today;
A bundle of broken nerves, a mouth full of words I'm still too afraid to say.
