You And Me On The Seashore Poem by Emmanuel Arunee Mwanza

You And Me On The Seashore

Rating: 5.0

standing there
on the seashore
side by side
you and me on the seashore
watching such a lovely couple sitting on the distant
holding warmly
seemingly happy
doing what we are doing
if we assume to be a couple
you and me
as we both watch the kissing of the two natural lovely couple
that kiss
everyday
every morning
before sharing their warmth to the world
every evening
after having shared smiles to the world
including me and the person standing right besides me
it leaves me thinking
of what you are thinking
miles in the world
that i have walked you have too
and we have struggled together
you have been so royal
which leads to the question
why?
why don't you leave me?
I decide to leave you now and again
but when I turn around
I see you
so beautifully moulded
then I begin to believe in myself again
you are so royal
and now I have had a long day
after everything
i have been through
today...
you still around me
you always do
and i saw you
when the boss thrashed me with harsh words
and i saw you
when those friends acted as if the sun shines on their back
but you held on
you are so royal
and when my parents
and when my life struggled
you have been there
during tough moments
she left
you saw her leave too
you never left
you gave me hope
you took each step along the way
and now here we are
you and me on the seashore
watching the sun set
watching the sea waves dancing to that amazing natural kiss
on our right side a couple
on our left side another couple
and on the middle you and i not a couple
but me and you my shadow
as i talk to myself each time turning to my shadow
as if it was me and another being that gives me hope
you make my thoughts sweet
and when someone says
am ugly i turn
look at my shadow
look at it
then i smile
you show me something else
then i smile
knowing that you will always give me hope
Alright,
so here we are on the seashore
again, just you and me on the seashore

A clever moving poem. I shall never see my shadow in the same again.
