If you had wings and made your eyes
Glisten towards the mornin' sky
I doubt that you'd have something much better
Amber strokes of fearless flight
With two left wings that make a right
A repudiation of guilt for each other
Overhead the birds you see
That hang floating over the sea
Sleek with gesture but suppressed in weight
The sly mistake of envy finds
A way to permeate in minds
Of those who gaze upwards not forwards
But if wings
Could hie towards a peace
I'd rise and soar and sing
And if wings
Could migrate a dream
You'd only see a trace of me
Watch the hills now fade to black
And all the faces dare to mask
In darkness finding nothing of gain
Golden Daffodils whisper
The oldest stories of earth
Don't it feel lovely to get a grip
Wild times a lifetime daze
Dancing in the temporal haze
Don't humor the lust for tomorrow
But notice still the future chill
Craving still the true soul's fill
Not one that sees the world but feels it
But if wings
Could hie towards a peace
I'd rise and soar and sing
And if wings
Could migrate a dream
You'd only see a trace of me
And if you had wing that made one see
The woes of a great society
I'd doubt that you'd have something much better
