Who’s Stupid? Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Who’s Stupid?

Rating: 5.0

I went in search of
The stupidest person,
My search was all
In vain.

When I searched
My inner self,
No one was stupider
Than I.

(An interpretation of one of the popular couplets of great poet Kabir)

What is a poet`s interest in searching for the most stupid person and why should he fail at all in his search even if he is somewhere there? Thirupathi Chandruptla has enough talent as a poet and he is going to reach soon the top position, I am sure. Certain poetic observations have a charm when they are first referred to. This poem by Kabir need not be further read into for further analysis in these times. We have to be more pragmatic towards life and the rare pearls of wisdom may better be not sold again and again.Mostly people write comments to amuse the writers and often they do it mechanically. As I have gone for not a smooth comment here, I am obliged to speak high of your most beautiful works over PH.
