Where Did You Go Poem by Chris Townsend

Where Did You Go

I am sorry for the way I am,
I am sorry for the problems, you know I do all I can,
I cry every night, please come to me,
Then in the cold light of day, no where to see,
I gave you my heart, you left me alone,
You took your bags, left far from home,
I wanted so much to chase in your shadow,
But I was fixed to the point I stood, no where to go,
I saw the dust settled in dawn,
From my heart my soul was torn,
I looked to heaven and asked him why,
No response, no one in, long since passed by,
If I could feel your soft caress once more,
No key to lock, no access door,
Shield you, no devil’s to pass,
But now your gone, tears within my laugh,
Out stretched I want you back,
I need to feel, strength to my attack,
Cold blue,
I dream of you,
I think I am going mad,
This world takes me away, I have lost what I had,
I remember a day, the tears of a clown,
As children laughed, to be so gay, torn document lost and found,
Hold my hand, I feel your sweet gentle touch,
I want you back, I need you so much…
