What I Think Of You Poem by Chris Townsend

What I Think Of You

Lie beside in a patch of sun,
Wrench my heart out and show for fun,
Dark shadows surround our façade,
As life, to fight, makes it so hard,
I am sorry, I am deeply sad,
When you cry, I am hurt, I am so very mad,
How can I express these feelings in a way you would know,
What, you want tickets, my personal puppet show,
Tie me to a life time of pain,
As I search for salvation, my bible in vain,
I know you care you always have,
But I cant take this no more, good turns to bad,
So see my demon’s I summon from deep your head to take,
I don’t care any more, your thoughts on my immortal mistake,
Feel the lightening as I scorch your breath,
As I stand before, victim before dead,
If you wanted peace you came to the wrong state,
As I pulverize the images, my head full of hate,
This bullet is marked with one of two,
Death or injury, destination you,
I cry out loud for I know not what I do,
I look into the empty place, the place that used to be you,
The quiet envelops and soothes my aching heart,
Now and forever, through my hand, we are ever apart,
How can I explain why or what it is I have done,
My madness, your face, an image of a cold gun…
