What Else Are We Doing? Poem by Manonton Dalan

What Else Are We Doing?

I wonder if earth revolves faster
could mountains holds more water
climate would be cooler, greener
waves could be larger, tsunami too
tornadoes could be stronger, wider
i will stay where we are; am use to

i feel like slave; working to pay
i paid everything even street i walk
not whole but i am part of it; sure
soon i would be so weak to do same
they probably help me on my medicine
other than that i will be here waiting
