We're All Immigrants Poem by louis rams

We're All Immigrants

To dream the dream of freedom where we could speak our mind
And raise our families with jobs that we could find
We don't ask for riches of diamonds and pearls
but just a little something to give our boys and girls
we've been down the road of poverty and we struggle to survive
we'll do what we must to keep our kids alive.
We are immigrants that is true, but we want a better life just like you.
America was built by immigrants in our history books it shows
This is something that we all know.
(the real Americans are the Indians)
We had the Spanish, English. British and French. German, Irish and Blacks
All immigrants just to name a few, and they all defended the Red, White and Blue.
(if you don't believe it check your history on ANCESTERY.COM)
