Waiting For My Turn Poem by Lyn Paul

Waiting For My Turn

Rating: 3.5

A memory of your life, A memory of your death
Will not be forgotten, You taking your last breath
The breath for life that failed today
Your life... Now taken away
It is now memories that help me to remain strong
Though not really knowing what went wrong
Wrong yes! But mappped out when born
Hard to accept and needing to mourn
As we mourn each day the memories heal
Accepting what, what is now real
You must never give up on life. As it is the death that makes us stronger
Even though you are no longer
No longer with me. Yet waiting for me,
Waiting for my turn to take my journey

All partings in life are sad, especially an eternal parting from dear ones! Yet there is the hope of getting reunited as everyone has to take up that final journey! A touching poem! !

Every parting can turn out to be the last parting, no one knows! When a loved one departs, the healing takes longer time. Yet, it heals at some point in time. 'As we mourn each day the memories heal Accepting what, what is now real' - loved these lines.

Ms. Pppaul, Pperhapps your “p” key got stuck? **** ;) **** “But mappped out when born” “Accepting what, what is now real”..............this I enjoyed: the repeat of “what” ===================================================== “You must never give up on life. As it is the death that makes us stronger” Lynn, I am an odd bird in some ways, as many PH members, I’m sure, suspect. “odd” is not meant to imply “bad” but, instead, “different (perhaps) from the ‘norm’ ” I feel there is sometimes THE RIGHT TIME to “give up on life”! and I have trouble understanding how “death ….makes us stronger”. An interesting and thought-provoking poem. Thanks, especially if it is about YOUR LIFE. Bri :)
