Trust
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Helpless it is as an infant
Newly born,
An organism programmed
To survive
Without the wherewithal
To hold its own
Yet sent with the instinct
In the beginning
As the only goal to last
Helpless the baby is
Can't turn even
All resources look scanty
To make it survive
Yet it delivers itself
To what we call trust
Only in someone
Can you have total trust
Who is all-knowledge and all-power
Having no limitation whatsoever
For the child
That person becomes God
To the voice of the person
Who rocks the cradle
Or on the moving lap
The child relaxes and goes to sleep
As in its awareness
Total trust comes from safety
And safety comes from trust
Beautiful poem. Infant is so helpless, but relaxes safely in its mother's lap. Captivating lines... Total trust comes from safety And safety comes from trust......Loved reading it. +++10
Total trust comes from safety And safety comes from trust. This is a commendable poem. A baby born into the world is frail and helpless. Slowly it forms a bond of love and trust with the people who attend to it. 10/10
A baby born right into the world places absolute trust in the one who suckles it and who sustains and takes care of it.... mostly its mother! It is so helpless in the initial stages, yet it survives under someone's tender care! Here is an equation of trust and safety! Great poem Deepak! The inalienable bond between an infant and its mother is beautifully put!
