Toot Dandy Poem by James Hunter

Toot Dandy

I've seen a world I know little about
Things happen there that you will doubt
The grass is not green in fact it is blue
The sky is all white like it's smiling at you
The water is purple and boats do not float
And the people were short and looked like a goat
Their pets look like rocks and roll when they're called
And the smallest mosquito stands nearly seven feet tall
They don't your suck blood, they are hired for travel
You have to fly everywhere, remember pets look like gravel
The fish all swim backwards, it makes them harder to catch
Throw a stick for a dog and it's you that must fetch
Rainbows look like smiles, and they're called a toot dandy
Their colors are twirled and they taste like sweet candy
It does not ever snow here, in fact its quite warm
And the flowers all sing music, and each rose has no thorn
Someday I must take you to this magical place
I'm sure you would have a big smile on your face
But for now you can dream about this land far away
Close your eyes and imagine and I'll do the same
