This Is The Story Of A Girl Name Hey

This Is The Story Of A Girl Name Hey
Whose story can be as damaging as "A Child Called ‘It' "
An autobiography well documented
For I am the girl also known as stupid
As to some people my birth name does not exist

This Is The Story Of A Girl Name Hey
How I longed to be treated with respect
A simple request
Yet denied time and time again
Feeling like a waste of space
Unable to fill your special place

This Is The Story Of A Girl Name Hey
For that is all I am to you
As "hey", "hay" and "stupid" are degrading ghetto expressions
Where one breeds rudeness and the other screams insult to my intelligence
You are uncivilized, uneducated, uncultured, and lack etiquette
For rudeness and disrespect are unattractive qualities
As no intelligent lady would want to tolerate your rubbish
You have no concept of what a lady want
Never truly understanding the whole picture
As every phone call will be lashed right back with "this is the girl name hey"

This Is The Story Of A Girl Name Hey
A victim of judgment
A victim of emotional abuse
A victim of verbal abuse
A victim of age discrimination
A victim of disrespect
A victim of your torturous interrogation
A victim of domestic tyranny
Where there is no shortage of sufferings under all your reigns

This Is The Story Of A Girl Name Hey
Which is portrayed in my poetry, journals, and scrapbook
For all of you have become muses for my writing inspiration
Unstoppable I am
Where the truth can no longer conceal
Where my point of view is reveal
In hopes that it would one day be signed at a book preview

This Is The Story Of A Girl Name Hey
You all are narrow-minded
For it is difficult for you to call me by name
As I am so much more than just the girl you call hey
For people who are unable to call me by my name I simply lash right back
How do you quantify wickedness?

Poem of the Day

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
