The Sweetest Moments
Your bright brown eyes like silk with the sheen of your emotions
That dance with the pulse of life
Dance in heart-beat motions.
You will be eleven years of age on Sunday
Caylin, my granddaughter your joy and wilfulness is just your way,
You bloom even without the sun each day,
With your cute button nose and your complexion finer than any rose,
You love having lots of fun, just your sweet way,
When I look at you I see your mum as a child
A breathtaking beauty that would outshine even nature so wild,
You love playing with slime this actually fits nicely into this rhyme,
You spend hours kneading and moulding it into different colours
Pink, yellow, purple and green so vibrant that is the link
To your bright character as you love the moments
Of new adventures
New pastures
The magnetic ocean lures
You to the sweetest moments
Sweetest days
Sweetest ways
Sweetest Caylin
You shine with an energy and light,
In my eyes you will always win

Happy birthday to Caylin! May she blossom into a beautiful, fragrant flower as she grows! 'When I look at you I see your mum as a child' - I have a four year old granddaughter. I too see her father as a child when I look at her.
Grand children are the apple of the eyes of their grand parents! From your description, I feel that she has angelic grace and the sweet playfulness of a little kitten! May she grow to be the pride of her parents and grand mom!
