The Stairs That Once Lead To You Poem by Rhonda Baker

The Stairs That Once Lead To You

Rating: 4.5

The stairs that once lead to you
Submerged, no trace, not a clue
I stand surrounded by sky blue
Water and water my only view
Loneliness just grew and grew
Water a solemn gray hue
To be in your embrace, lieu
For moments in life are but a few
Like blades of grass with morning dew
I long again for your woo
To start again anew
You and I, just we two
