The Seaside Poem by Kim Davies

The Seaside

Ice-cream, doughnuts, candy floss,
Sugar dummies, stripey rock,
Fish and chips on cardboard trays,
Treats galore to stuff our face.

Beachball, frisbee, water slide,
Bucket and spade, donkey ride,
Building castles, digging holes,
Wet costumes and sandy toes.

Painted horses, round and round,
Helter skelter, spirals down,
Wind-blown hair and sun-kissed cheeks,
Lots of fun and seaside treats.

Time to go, a last goodbye,
Sleepy sun slides down the sky,
Tired and happy, on our way,
Having had a fun-filled day.
