The Rose Poem by Valerie Dohren

The Rose

Rating: 4.0

Calm the night and stilled the sea
Bathed in its tranquility
A fleeting glimpse of death`s repose
Gently stirred the sleeping rose

(But still too blind to understand
I let it wither in my hand)

The lifeless form fell to the earth
There again to find new birth
For withered though the rose may be
Its seed lives on eternally

Oh, so very beautiful....as a rose. This is the first time I read this, and I can see what I was missing. How beautifully you created this poem, it is almost magical. Thank you for sharing your blessing!
