The Moon Poem by Valerie Dohren

The Moon

Rating: 5.0

Beautiful lady, born of the night
Floating across the ebony sky
Clothed in soft gossamer, shimmering bright
Beneath all your charms, to love and to cry

With threads of silver curled all around
Spreading your hair as moonbeams that fall
Strands of your glory touching the ground
Celestial light, I rise to your call

Heavenly goddess, climbing so high
Waxing and waning, queen of the night
Longing to touch you, I sigh, I sigh
Wonderful vision, ethereal sight

She is such a beauty as she changes each night, described in all her glory, by you; just right...

Beautiful description of our nightly wonder in the sky. I love the moon along with the stars that shine so bright. and I seem to favor moon poems most of all. Excellent tribute to its beauty here. Thank you, Val, again and again!
