'The Inspiration'. Part.1 Poem by LOVE_AND HATE_ Lyle Ashwyn Holland

'The Inspiration'. Part.1

You're never there when I need you,
You're there when I don't want you,
But here we are. I still love you...

You make me more creative,
More innovative,
As my thoughts accumulated,
But you're always underrated_
Can I make another statement?

Can you fill another thought? ,
With meaning and the sense that I lost? , what does a scent have to cost,
For me to smell this good...?
How does a cent go short? _

Missing like money in a bank,
These words are worth nothing.
& I just went blank_

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I'm sure everyone can relate to this. Inspiration cannot be forced, it comes at the best and worst of times. You never see it coming... You just feel it taking over when it wants to. You do not choose when you want to be inspired or for how long. It comes and goes. So here I decided to speak about 'inspiration' as if it manifested into a person who visits me as he/she pleases. It starts making me excited, not knowing what I could write, then when doubt comes into play of what I might be able to do with it in the end, as I keep questioning myself and the inspiration, it just leaves, and I go blank!
