The Fool Poem by BrandEn Billy

The Fool

There once was a fool who sacrificed the greatest gift he ever had.
Now he looks upon the stars and wishes he never did.
This is the story of true love that can't be.
The two met on a sunny day with smiles and stares.
Both felt when they were together they were free.
It was a game from the start and they began to care.
But the fool knew he wasn't allowed to love a man.
He fought the feelings with deep dispair.
He finally gave in and fell in love but he kept telling himself he can't.
The agony of wanting to be someone else took over completely
They ended their passion with one last kiss.
After the years passed by, the memory wouldn't leave.
He let his true love go but he doesn't even know where his love is.
He had driven himself insane and his love wasn't coming back to stay.
This fool cared too much about what the world would see.
Now he is insane and in a dark room all lonely.
Never let someone go.
