The Fault In Our Stars Poem by Asma Khan

The Fault In Our Stars

It's dark outside, close your eyes hard
The moon lies far from my doorstep
stars are countless like my worries
and my eyes are sightless of your arrival

Don't forget to shut all doors to your heart
The fragrance may fill the gap of ego for years
Storms are passengers of my life
and my heart is a mere melancholy of nature

Blink those eyes to shed the tears of pain
The dreams would fall off like stars from the skies
Reality would lead you to another venture if not this
and my endurance is just a splash on you

Rains can't fill the emptiness of my eyes
The sun walks to me beaming lights on my paths
Seasons of your existence still haunt my attention
and my mind freezes like an ice berg of Titanic

I draw my name on the wet sand of the beach
The waves lay over and over my name wiping it
Winds serve as a subject of the enemy on my hair
and my eyes hear your voice from the far end

Dream merchants wander from one stance to the other
The hopes sell many baskets full of wishes
The fault in our stars in lit high in the sky
and my prayers go straight to find you somewhere around
