The Coffee Poem by Daipayan Nair

The Coffee

Rating: 5.0

Black bubbles
in your coffee
has me drowning,
struggling to surface,
in the slum lake
beyond my house
where your
beautiful clay deities
plunge in,
without a second thought.

We both emerge,
unblinking,
as a similarity.

put an s on laps by mistake, must have accidentally brushed a key, that line was supposed to read 'coffee quiet slaps on mind shores' and was supposed to be a tribute to you Daipayan, correcting the error now, sorry: (
