The Bell Tolls- For Valerie Poem by Joseph Anderson

The Bell Tolls- For Valerie

Rating: 4.8

Fate called and came the other day,
Death's grasping hands must have their say.
They took with them a goodly man
Who had used all of life's brief span.

They left behind a widow, true
Who in her darkest moments knew,
That time and fate would rule the day
They came to carry him away.

If we can say some kindly thing
And peace or joy to her bring,
Then all of us shall better be.
Please, let her poetry set her free.

A poetess of great repute,
Of this there can be no dispute.
O! Guardians of great poetry
Uplift, inspire sweet Valerie.

The beautiful sentiments of a feeling heart that willingly shares others sorrows and partakes of others joys! Yes, we all share Valerie's sense of loss and pray that she gets the strength to face life! A beautifully rhyming poem has been born as a means of consolation for a soul in distress! !

Your title of this poem reminds me of a poem called For Whom the Bell Tolls? Yes the bell has tolled for Valerie but soon it will ring out a glorious peal of joy. You wrote a beautiful sympathy card in the form of a poem Joseph. I just know that Valerie appreciates your kind thoughts stated here. Keep on looking up Valerie and keep writing beautiful poetry Joseph. God Bless.
