Teevee Poem by George Hunter

Teevee

Rating: 4.0

Sitting up late, watching the tube
Sitting here feeling just like aboob.
Just like a setter,
I should know better
Sure makes me feel like a rube.

Nothing worthwhile on the telly,
Just snacking and filling my belly.
If I watch any more
My ass will get sore.
It's turning my brains to jelly.

Tried to watch the late flicker,
But it was slower than quicker.
Five minutes of Brad,
Then fifteen of ad.
It made me sicker and sicker.

Just have to rent some DVDs
And sit here in my BVDs.
It was all askew,
Too many preview
Guess I'm too hard to please.

A book is much better to putupwith.
It's something worthwhile to situpwith
And there is no ad
To make you so mad
And interrupt your train of thought as to whodunit and whatwith.

Hi, Angel again. I too don't watch much of Tee Vee, It sometimes seems so stupid to put up with. So true. Your dig at the Insurance guys in the Storm was also wonderful. You really go for it, George.
