Sweet Melodies Poem by Edwina Reizer

Sweet Melodies

Birds in the trees
singing sweet melodies
Oh how I marvel at these.

So many calls
how it enthralls
Oh how it mystifies me.

When they're in flight,
not in my sight
Oh how I wish I could see

where they have gone,
where they were drawn.
That's where I wish I could be.

Who's hearing your song?
Who knows you belong
to all those who love melodies?

Oh how I yearn
for your return.
I listen and wait patiently.
