Streets Of New York Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Streets Of New York

Santa Claus on the corner,
Of Sak's Fifth Avenue.
The ardor or winter,
Of Christmas grew.

The lights of the city,
Blazed so bright.
It was me and Christmas,
All night tonight.

I took the decorated subways so fast.
It reached my destination at last.
I couldn't reach the sidewalks so quick.
But I did reach them in a blink.

Wow! It was Christmas in NYC.
All decorations. How pretty can they be.
That God for New York City.
It brought me the happiness that could be.
